McCain Dismisses Low Poll Numbers - Warns of SuperMajority

·

A Newsweek poll showed Obama ahead by 13 points nationally, and also holding a lead in key swing states. In Iowa, John McCain dismissed these polls saying that his campaign is "doing fine."

"This is going to be a very close race, and I believe I'm going to win it," McCain said.

McCain has also switched campaign tactics for the 1,154th time, warning his "friends" of the terrors of a SuperMajority, with Democrats on track for sizable gains in its majority in the Senate and the House, as well as the increasing likelihood of a Democratic president.

McCain spoke of higher taxes and a bloated federal bureaucracy, "That's what's going to happen if the Democrats have total control of Washington. We can't let that happen."

The Republican presidential nominee also defended his choice of running mate, rejecting the notion that Gov. Sarah Palin is unqualified for the job.

"I don't defend her. I praise her. She is exactly what Washington needs," McCain said.

"We're going to bring change. With Sarah Palin, I'll guarantee you we'll do it a lot faster. She has inspired millions of Americans with her record of reform," he added.

This comes at a time when polls show McCain's numbers floundering and rumors from within his own campaign speaking of the ever increasing gap between McCain and Palin.

Let's see what else can possibly go wrong for McCain - at least he still has his Republican supporters - oh, wait.....
