What did I tell you - Ashley Todd, the woman who said she was attacked by a man after he saw a McCain/Palin bumper sticker on her car, was making the whole story up.
Assistant Police Chief Maurita Bryant said that, "She is stating that she was in her vehicle driving around, and she cam up with this idea. She said she has prior mental problems and doesn't know how the backward letter 'B' got on her face." Todd, however, was the only one in the vehicle, and "when she saw the 'B; she thought she must have been the one who did it." Bryant said.
Bryant reported that Todd came clean this morning when she arrived to create a composite sketch of her attacker. She entered into the police station and told officers, "I just want to tell the truth."
It sucks that she took up so much time and the story was so widely covered. Hopefully she will get some help, it seems like she needs it.
