Tour Mexico by Bus - La Paz

La Paz, Mexico is a very international and cosmopolitian city. You are just as likely to hear Portuguese, Italian, and French as you are to hear English. It is also a good jumping off spot to visit Todos Santos - where there is great surfing.

One must see is Espiritu Santo - which Lonely Planet calls "a treasure of shallow azure inlets and sorbet-pink cliffs." Hiking, swimming, diving, and snorkeling with whale sharks are also popular activities.

Where to stay:
-Pension California M$200d
-Hotel Quinta Lolita M$300d

When you are ready to leave hope on the ferry to Mazatlan. Departures are every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 3pm and arrive in Mazatlan the next morning. I recommend splurging for a cabin.

Ferry to Mazatlan:
-M$835 - chair
-add M$250 for a 4 bed cabin
-add M$400 for a 2 bed cabin with bathroom

While Cabo San Lucas is the wild child, San Jose del Cabo is the mild sister of the two Cabos. It is more peaceful and offers shopping and good dining. Paseo del Estero (Marshland Trail) will take you from Blvd. Mijares to Zona Hotelera. The best beaches for swimming are along the road to Cabo San Lucas, but the best beach is Playa Santa Maria at Km 13.

Where to stay:
-Free camping is possible at Pueblo La Playa, east of the center
-Hotel Nuevo San Jose M$220-380
-Hotel Diana M$700

Ready to move on - let's go!

San Jose del Cabo to:
-Cabo San Lucas M$30 1 hour
-La Paz M$175 3 hours

Cabo San Lucas is a place where all of you inhabitions will be tossed aside, and that's OK. Although Cabo is best known for its party reputation, there is much more to do here. Cabo has beautiful beaches where water sports like jet skiing, parasailing, kiteboarding, snorkeling, and diving. For those who prefer to stay dry there are banana boats and horseback riding.

If you prefer a more tranquil scene then head outside of the city. There are beaches that aren't crowded by drunk college kids, and you will see the natural beauty of Southern Baja.

What you shouldn't miss in Cabo San Lucas:
-Land's End is the best attraction in Cabo. See the natural arch, sea lions and pelicans, and the sea and sky below and above you. To get there hop on a panga and head towards El Archo (M$10).
-Playa del Amor (Lover's beach) is a must see. It is near Land's End and is accessable by boat.
-Playa del Divorcio (Divorce beach) is across the point on the Pacific side.

Where to stay:
-Hotel Oasis M$480d
-Hotel Maria Elena M$650d

Once you've had your fill of Cabo fun, choose the next place and move on.

Cabo San Lucas to:
-La Paz M$144 3-4 hours
-San Jose del Cabo M$30 1 hour

Tour Mexico by Bus - San Diego

You can start anywhere you want. It will probably depend on how much it costs to get to the starting point. If you live near San Diego then it will probably be better to start off there. Some might find it cheaper to start in Cabo San Lucas and skip Baja California all together. Still, some may want to start in the Yucatan Peninsula and enjoy their time in the Caribbean atmosphere. I will start in San Diego.

There are many places to stay in San Diego and most can be booked online. From San Diego you can take the trolley ($2.50 from downtown San Diego to the boarder) or a bus (from the airport take city bus 992 $2.50) to the boarder and walk across. Once across you can get a cab to the main bus terminal - remember to use your bargaining skills here.

Five kilometers from downtown Tijuana is the main bus terminal, Central Camionera.
Tijuana to
-La Paz M$1510 (U$115), 24 hours
-San Jose del Cabo M$1600 24 hours
-Cabo San Lucas M$1554 24 hours

Enjoy the ride.

So you want to travel but don't have much money - seems like that's always the problem. If so, then check out Mexico. Mexico's bus system is what enables you to see everything in Mexico, from beaches to ancient ruins, on a ow budget.

If you are willing to camp or sleep in a hammock you can sleep for less than two dollars a night, and sometimes for free. There is also the option of hostels and family run inns and hotels, all of which are still pretty cheap, sometimes less than US$10 a day for double occupancy, which means if you are traveling with a pal you can expect to spend as little as US$5 a day on lodging. Food is also cheap as is the Mexican alcohol - think Corona and Jose Cuervo.

I am going to map out the best way to see all of Mexico on the cheap. Enjoy.

Sarah Palin is current the Governor of Alaska. She has currently being appointed to be the vice-president of running Republican John Mccain.

Palin has promoted oil and natural gas resource exploration in Alaska, including in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.[74] She brought suit to overturn the listing of polar bears under the federal Endangered Species Act,[195] and also opposed listing the beluga whales in Alaska’s Cook Inlet.[196] Specifically, the Alaska press release states "Governor Palin has asked NMFS to work with the state and other scientists to finalize and implement a conservation plan for the Cook Inlet stock of belugas."[197]

Sarah Palin does not believe in global warming nor the preservation of the environment. She openly supports oil drilling in Wildlife Refugees.
